Meet the Founders

Sarah Maston

Sarah is a futurist, inventor, and solution architect with more than 25 years of experience designing globally scalable solutions for some of the world’s largest companies.

A serial entrepreneur and intrapreneur she has founded, incubated, and developed the scale strategy for multiple start-ups and new initiatives in established global corporations. She has received multiple honors, including the IBM Outstanding Innovation Award, Microsoft’s Polaris and Gold Club Awards and is a Blue Unicorn of IBM having won an internal innovation competition for the invention of Cognitive Nutrition to establish her own start-up division within IBM.

A global thought leader in applying technology to fight environmental crime, she works closely with the UNODC, United for Wildlife led by the Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Global Initiative to End Wildlife Crime, and other international partners.

Daisuke Nakahara

Daisuke spent 26 years at Microsoft and is a recipient of the Microsoft Chairman's Award, the company's highest honor. A pioneering engineer, he played a leading role in the invention of the USB, Windows Power Management, and Windows Plug and Play. More recently, he served on the prestigious Intelligent Edge Innovation Team, co-developing data, AI/ML, and embedded engineering platforms that drive global scale for companies such as Intel and LG.

He co-founded Project 15 from Microsoft and co-invented the Project 15 Open Platform with Sarah Maston. Their work with the UNDP, GEF, and others is globally recognized as a model for how the private sector can scale Tech for Good.
